From the first day I started my rehabilitation at PTX, I felt the difference the therapy and exercises were making. I was amazed at the immediate relieve which resulted from the traction therapy exercises which allowed me to do more intense and corrective exercises. PTX followed sensible phased approach to my rehabilitation and strengthening which included physiotherapy, rehabilitation exercises and of course a program to follow until the following appointment. They guys at PTX helped me to correct bad habits and foster new ones which will definitely guide me to regain my active lifestyle and achieve my sporting goals!

We have been a patient of Ryk Eksteen's practice since 2015. Myself for my back and neck and my daughter for her back and an injury to her cruciate ligaments in her knee. When scans were taken of her knee the radiologist could not see any evidence of torn ligaments. When the pain would not subside we went for a consultation with Ryk, he did not agree with the finding on the original scan and report and referred us to Dr Charl Olivier for a second opinion. Dr Olivier confirmed Ryk's thoughts on my daughter's knee and she went in for her knee operation a week later. If It was not for Ryk my daughter's knee would not have healed and the possibility of her every dancing again would be a slim one. After a shoulder operation, I went to Ryk’s practice for rehabilitation treatment for about 10 weeks. The treatment that I received was not only professional, but also very effective. At my follow up visit to the surgeon, the surgeon said “Wow, I wish all patients could recover like you do!” Ryk also gave me advice on posture and exercises. He has a passion for his work, which shows in all aspects of running his practice. He is kind and always treated me with the utmost respect!

In the start of 2013 I started working with Ryk at PTX after my left leg became stiff from a complicated procedure. In only my second week of rehabilitation with Ryk it quickly became clear to me that with the personalised care and the on-going motivation from Ryk Eksteen the staff at PTX I am bound to succeed. I have just had a total knee replacement and I am very excited to continue my road to recovery in the new rehabilitation centre. I Know that I will transform into a stronger more self-confident me.

My 12 year old daughter was in a car accident during October 2013. Her sciatic nerve was severely damaged and left her with a paralysed leg. Our first visit to Ryks’ practice was in a wheelchair. She could barely move her right leg and the pain was excruciating. 3 weekly sessions, special equipment and Ryks’ vision of healing made a huge impact on her recovery. Now, 11 months later she can walk, dance and is almost pain free. We still have a long road of recovery ahead of us and she visits Ryk weekly.

My daughter and I became patients of Ryk Eksteen’s practice in 2011. I have a problem shoulder and persistent migraines. My daughter has growth plate problems in her shoulders and hips and subsequently major knee problems so we have therefore spent many hours at the practice. Ryk and Elsa have seen my daughter through thick and thin and we have utmost confidence in their handling of our treatment. I am so thankful to Ryk for always being there for my daughter during her struggle. He is our physio and we won’t go anywhere else

My daughter was referred to Ryk Eksteen at PTX physiotherapy for knee rehabilitation in 2017. We have never looked back. It has been an enlightening experience to learn just what excellent physiotherapy can achieve. A great team with excellent knowledge, care and professionalism. My 3 children are high level swimmers that require therapy, rehabilitation and sports massages on an almost weekly basis. Treatment and rehabilitation is molded around their sport which gives an even quicker and confident recovery. Ryk's level of knowledge and outstanding practical treatment makes him one in a million. He is innovative, caring, sensitive and very meticulous. Definitely highly recommended.

I used to think Physiotherapy was a waste of time until I met this team!!! I think the fact that they have worked at a professional level ( working with big muscles like the blue bulls) they know how important results are. They make me feel like a pro with the level of care and professionalism and fantastic results!! Now I drive all the way from Sandton to get my physio-'fix'... I am patient with Ronee at PTX since 2015. I have spine fusions in my lower back. Ronee has helped me with pain management once a week for the last 6 years. They make you feel cared for by the way they listen and talk to you. They are a great loving physical therapy team. Thanks for everything PTX. You are still the best.

My daughter was a patient of Ronee Eksteen from PTX Physiotherapy from 2016. She was an athlete and netbal player. Sport injuries was part of her life. From hamstrings to ligaments that was off and some torn in her ankle. My daughter was always looking for the fastest way to recover. PTX went beyond the normal ways of treatment and her recovery times was 50% faster than normal. She still go to PTX and its 5 years later. They are always making you feel welcome and no problem is to big or to small for them.

I had been dealing with chronic lower back pain for a number of years and putting off seeing a specialist assuming it would be a tedious and potentially painful process, until my mother visited PTX Physiotherapy after she sustaining a foot injury and gave very positive reviews. To my amazement PTX was able to relieve my lower back pain in two short visits. They are very professional, courteous and I would recommend anyone to give them a visit!!

The service we receive at Eksteen Physiotherapists, from Hardus Smith is nothing short of excellent. My husband and I have been visiting the practice together, and not only has our condition improved, but we feel like we are a part of the Eksteen family. We have been patients of PTX and Ryk Eksteen since 2014. Their service is outstanding and their receptionist, Martha, is professional and always helpful. They have become like family over the years. Initially my husband was referred to Ryk for rehabilitation after his knee replacement, with excellent results. Later it was my daughter in 2016 with a shoulder injury after a fall with her pony which Ronee treated with success. Then again my daughter with a hip injury after an indoor hockey tournament. The injury would not get better and X-rays showed no injury. The pain increased until she was eventually walking with crutches. Ryk suspected a labrum tear and referred her to Dr Charl Olivier. Dr Olivier confirmed Ryk’s suspicion and operated to fix the tear, but also diagnosed hip dysplasia of which we were not aware. Ryk and team did the rehabilitation, again with excellent results. My daughter needs physio on a regular basis for her hips and every now and again for an equestrian related injury. She has full confidence in Ryk and team. I would recommend PTX to anyone who is in need of of specialist and quality physiotherapy. They are always willing to go the extra mile!
